While Twenty-Eight

This year was one of the best birthdays I have ever had (more on this later). And I was sitting in room filled with those I love I was overcome by how grateful I am for my life and for those that make it special. With that in mind, as I come round into a new year, my goals are simple in words but make the important stuff a priority and let the rest of it fall as it will.

During my 28th year I want to:

Be a better friend!
Appreciate the people in my life, ask about them more, make time for drinks and dinners and evenings out, forgive for slights of the past, move on, apologize if I need to, show interest and support for those who choose the harder path, travel to places just to see you, call when I could just text.

Socialize Without Foods!
As I moved into my mid and now late 20s I moved from "lets get wasted!!!" to "lets grab dinner". We go to dinner parties, brunches, lunches, and ice cream, we try new restaurants and make fancy dinners - and this is not about giving that up. I just want to bring more to the table if you will... I want to send out invites for museums, dance parties, game night, for clothing swaps and antique mall shopping.

I am a runner. I want to be faster, fitter, and funner than I've ever been. Something in my heart warms when I lace up my Brooks and take off. I want to move from jogging to running. From "I can" to "I am freaking rocking this mutha effa!". Here we go!

Learn To Cook Fennel!
I thought I hated it but turns out I don't - thanks 28th Birthday dinner! Now I want to master it. I want to roast it and serve it with fish. I want to try it in sweets (pie?).

Tame my wardrobe (again)!
Simplify, rebuild, and see a sea of possibilities and items I love when I get dressed every morning. Quality over quantity, color and fabrics that suit my life, and the life I want to lead. I want to be organized and

Lets Take A Walk

You guys!
I walked the Golden Gate Bridge! Eight years in the city and I am never less amazed!

We got up early on my momma's birthday, which was the Sat after  and headed over to the Marin side. The walk is a little over three miles (3.4 if you are interested) I cant recommend this enough - if you live in the city or you are just visiting - take a walk or a bike or just get out of the car and look at it.

Marrow Of Bones

A few weeks ago manfriend and I went on a date night and had a lovely dinner at Hog and Rocks.... including trying bone marrow (one more off the list). It was... interesting.

Fatty and kind of hard and liquid at the same time. I can't say I loved it, but I enjoyed trying something new!
