99 Problems
Everyone has problems. Everyone sometimes thinks that their particular problems are bigger or more important than others. I think we all have days where we struggle to find the patience to listen and look and learn about other people and what is going on with them. Some days I fear that I am going to lash out and tell them that a flat tire, or a fight with a boyfriend, or a late term paper is not a "real" problem. That I have real problems, and they just "don't know what that feels like."
On those days, I try to focus on compassion and on the truth that there is no problem bigger and better and more important than the one in your life. Or her life. Or their life.
this is not a competition.
And I am not winning.
