Sleepy Head

1. Make coffee ahead. Truth be told, M usually does this, but it is helpful.
2. While still on the hunt for a new alarm clock, I have been sleeping on the opposite side from mine which means that B has to hit snooze if I want to.
3. Set your mind. I tell myself ahead of time what time I am going to get up. Then I set my alarm to the same time. No trickery needed, just get up when I said I would.
4. Look forward to something. Maybe its the coffee. Maybe a day closer to the weekend. Maybe the sooner you get up and have that long meeting it will be over. Whatever it is, at lead you have a reason to bound out of bed rather than "ug... work again".
5. Go to sleep. If, like me, you wake in the middle of the night then try some sleep yoga (thanks mom!) or counting to five over and over.
